Should You Start an Internet Based Business?

With the increasing popularity of the Internet, more and more people are earning a living thru Internet based businesses (also called Internet marketing business or Home based business). Many new millionaires and even billionaires have made their fortunes thru the Internet. Among the new billionaires are Larry Page and Sergey Brin, founders of Google, a search engine business that started from a garage. At the age of 23, facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has become world’s youngest self-made billionaire. Armand Morin, who known as the father of all Internet Marketers was once a vacuum cleaner salesman and had successfully built a multi-million dollar international Internet based business. On a smaller scale, many work-at-home mothers and college students are making good income online, in the comfort of their own homes.
The Internet offers the layman an opportunity to venture into business with a small capital and to work from home. This new form of Internet based business is worth looking into. You can find all sorts of products and services on the Internet. I know people who are making money purely by selling items at ebaY, by blogging, by affiliate marketing, by building & selling websites, by social marketing, and etc.
Instead of just wasting time surfing the Internet, which many people do, you can actually make money by selling your products, services or information online. Here are few advantages of an Internet based business.
1. The Internet has a global market. You can have customers from all around the world, regardless of where you are based.
2. Lower start-up capital is required compared to a brick and mortar business.
3. You can literally make money while you sleep, as long as your business is automated (you have a system).
However, Internet based business is NOT a get rich-rich quick scheme. Building a profitable home based businesses on the Internet is a CONTINUAL LEARNING PROCESS - it takes time, knowledge, like-minded community, skills, and an automated system in order for you to succeed.
There’s a statement made by Bill Gates: “If your business is not on the Internet, then your business will be out of business”. If the wealthiest man in the world said this, then there must be something to this Internet based business thing.
